This is an intermetallic substance
The molybdenum sulide
This refractory material is mostly used in heating elements. It is electrically conductible, has a medium density, and a melting point at 2030 deg C. At high temperatures it forms a silica layer to protect the material from further oxidation. The thermal stabilities of

The thermal stability of high-radiation coatings makes them ideal for thermal shields.
MoSi2 powder
The material has a gray-gray metal (a-modified), with a crystal structure of four squares. Its b modification is hexagonal, and is unstable. It is insoluble with most acids. However, it dissolves in nitric or hydrofluoric.
The following is a list of the most popular ways to contact us
Disilicide of molybdenum MoSi2
At temperatures below 1000 deg C it becomes brittle. It will also lose creep resistance at temperatures of 1200 deg C and above. These properties are restricted to the structural materials of their material but can be altered by using it in a composite.
Molybdenum Disilicide (MoSi2)
This material is promising for structural high-temperature applications. It has a melting point of 2030 C, excellent oxidation resistant and a density of 6.24 g/cm3. The material's low toughness in low temperatures, and its high creep rates when heated to higher temperatures have prevented it from being used for structural applications. The development of a new material has taken a lot of effort.

Molybdenum Disilicide Based Heating Elements
High-temperature furnaces are widely used to manufacture these materials. For microelectronics, the combination of low electrical resistance and high thermal stability with electron-migration-resistance, as well as excellent diffusion-barrier properties, is essential. What is Molybdenum Silicate?
MoSi2
What powder is produced?
Molybdenum-based materials such as MoSi2 and disilicide are typically made through sintering. Plasma spraying allows for dense monoliths as well as composite forms. This method produces a material that may contain b-MoSi2 in varying proportions due to its rapid cooling.
Applications
Molybdenum Silicide
MoSi2
Powder:
Heating elements made of molybdenum diilicide can be used at temperatures of up to 1800°C in electric furnaces in laboratories and production environments for glass, steel production, electronics, ceramics and heat treatment. Molybdenum Disilicide can be used as a Contact Material in microelectronics.
Heating element
MoSi2 (MoSi2 for short) is a conductive silicon dioxide that exhibits an oxidation reaction due to its stable surface silica layer.
While the MoSi2 top element can operate up to temperatures of 1800 deg C (or a maximum of 2200 deg C), the material is extremely brittle. It may experience serious creep during usage. They are still useful for process, as they can work with high electrical load without aging and will not increase resistance during use. They are antioxidants in oxygen, air and oxygen-rich environment.
The operating temperature can also be reduced due to the failures of the protective layer.
MoSi2 components are available in straight or bending forms and a range of sizes. These elements are mostly used in production and laboratory furnaces of the ceramics industry, glass, steel and electronics industries.
High-temperature structure
MoSi2's amazing properties and high temperature elasticity make it a promising material for applications such as high-temperature gas turbine engines. Many researchers are trying to improve the high-temperature creep resistance and low temperature ductility. There are no composites that meet all the desired characteristics.
