Applicaciones NSP-3 Molecular Sieve

It can be used to extract mercaptan from natural gas or carbon dioxide in liquefied gas.

Natural gas is composed of a mix of hydrocarbons. It has been long associated with CO2,H2S, other non-hydrocarbon gasses, and corrosion of equipment. The presence of CO2 and other acids will also lead to low calorific values for natural gas. Additionally, LNG raw material CNG (compressed naturally gas) should be removed prior to liquefaction. This will prevent the formation of crystals in cryogenic processes that clog pipelines. It also helps avoid corrosive gases corrosion. Dry ice can be formed by carbon dioxide during liquefaction and cause pipe blockage. CNG must therefore be devoid of high amounts CO2 before it can be made into LNG.
