The Footprint Team
We know that Footprint guides offer something different because thousands of you write to us each year to tell us.
The way we differ from other guidebooks is not just about the places we cover; it’s also about the people who make the books what they are. And the people behind the books are as diverse and dynamic as the countries covered.
We have a team of 18 working from our office in Bath, where everything is done, from the initial conception of each guide right through to the page layout, picture selection and cartography. On top of that we have a team of nearly 50 authors, as well as dozens and dozens of contributors. They’re a diverse bunch, and scattered all around the globe, but one thing they all have in common is the intimate knowledge and experience of the regions and countries they write about.
All of us connected with Footprint feel passionately about our approach to travel; one based on choice, adventure, sensitivity and, of course, having a good time. We strive to ensure that we produce the very best travel guides in existence, and we understand that choosing the right guidebook can be as difficult as making the choice of where to go. The amount of information available on where to go, what to take and what to do when you're there can make planning your trip downright frustrating.
Getting the information that is right for your trip is crucial: in many instances your guidebook will be your only companion on the road. To this end Footprint delivers a travel guide that really works: not only is the information inside accurate and up to date, but our guides are also written to inspire and entertain.
